Re: What work did you do on your SMB today?
After seeing Greg in Austin's Linexed hoop step on McBeast, I took my pathetic step with it's sad peeling black paint over to the Rhino guy and he sprayed it for $15. Now it's sexy black once again!

Re: 2000 4x4 Ford Van Build
Geez, I'm so impressed!
Looking at the trees in the background, it seems like you've done all of this in one season: winter. Is that possible?

Re: Trim maintenance products
Where do you get them? I'm contemplating pulling the billet grille for a paint job. It's really grey. The stuff I've bought a Walmart has been pretty useless.

Re: 2006 e350 rb diesel 4400 miles
Fresno sold us the last '07 they had that would take both fuels. I knew I was going to be going into Mexico from the Rio Grande Valley often, so it got me off the fence regarding the purchase.

Re: Wanted - Free/Trade 4 Bumpers
Texan, radical AND an omnivore!
In fact, I'm headed for Cooper's in Llano this weekend for an episode of Big Meat. Also to Sportsmobile, Austin, where all my money lives.
Good luck on your bumper...

Re: Wanted - Free/Trade 4 Bumpers
Hey, PP!
as a Texan and ultra-liberal SMBer (though radical would be more accurate), even with decidedly pinched pockets, I'm contemplating the Aluminess sale. Come the revolution, I'd be ready.

Ed, the wildflowers in the desert on a year of spectacular rainfall is an incredible experience. I went solo several years ago after biblical rains; wading through knee-high blooms in Death Valley...

Hospital parking lots! you're right about that.
I did it to solve another problem: had a simple "day surgery" procedure and the dictum was "You MUST have someone drive you home." This was impossible...

Re: No Starcool, other options
Every time Ford has it's hands on the van, I ask them to be SURE the doghouse is seated correctly. It always gets hot, which I sort of expect, but I also feel heat hitting my knees (no, the dragon is...

Re: No Starcool, other options
I'm planning to drive 7 hours to Austin in mid-February over this issue. My dash AC just wasn't enough for last summer's heat even with the Starcool going. The van is from Fresno, so I think that the...

Jage, you must be more graceful than I am. Coming AND going, I'd get hung up on the raised edges of those damned Husky's.

Re: After market floormats
Greg, I should have put this in my list of favorite add-ons.
I had Ford take out the front seats, remove the carpet and install rubber matting like commercial vans have. No more catching myself on...

I agree with Jage.
Both from my own experience going back and forth from TX to the SF Bay Area and from what I see here in the land of Winter Texans. The Walmart parking lots have gatherings of...

Re: Forum Rally 09 May 11-15th in Moab
Having it in Moab instead of Glacier makes it possible for me but all depends on my mom's health and I can't be sure about that until maybe a month prior.
It would be great, though.

Ha!
Your canoe isn't the only one!
I've looked at the roof systems, but my boat isn't exactly a canoe. It's a 15' guideboat, weighing slightly less than 70 lb.
Plus I don't have a wife to help...
