This may sound counter intuitive, but spray the latch on the top of the door with WD-40, or a silicone spray, until it's drippy wet. Then slam it from the top and that should fix it. And it should...

Could be either or both. But I really don't want to alter the van, which works ("ain't broke, don't ..."). I'm thinking with 3 brackets, and how stout the steel is in the bracket, that a smidge off...

My front Z's awning bracket is just a smidge too fat. No matter how I position it, the tops of the doors scrape the bracket. Does anyone see a problem with grinding down the bracket just a tad...
