The Schoolhouse is a great place to eat at 180 and Frankwood, and barely out of the way. After eating you would go north through the golf course to the road to Tivy Valley and then to the Pine Flat...

I'm 20 minutes from SMB West. This time of year I would send you above Pine Flat Lake along the Kings River. Lots of Boondocking spots. Let me know if you want details.

I may be a little biased since I moved to the Fresno area 39 years ago because of the mountains that are in our backyard. I can be at Shaver Lake [5000 feet] in 45 minutes, and easily 100 boondocking...
