Re: Look what just drove up in my driveway, it's Rusty!

Great take on it, especially 'compacting' this down to better transport size and the translucent partition/insert. I like the way your setup lets in the light (one of the great things about the PH...

Re: Cheap and easy penthouse air conditioner prototype

IIRC, when I cut and sanded the partition/surround I had first made a 'model' using some fairly stiff cardboard, to make sure I got the size and shape right. It isn't like we are machining parts to...

Re: Cheap and easy penthouse air conditioner prototype

Yeah I'm pretty sure the PVC is 1 inch, but I expect that any reasonably beefy scraps you might have hanging around would work.

I used plywood for the partition for basically the same reason --...

Re: Rooftop AC on penthouse top.

This 5000 BTU unit works great in an RB in Virginia summer:

Re: Quigley conversion and fuel tankage

Thanks. I'm fairly price insensitive and would pay a significant premium for a 40+ gallon tank good for Virginia, but it is starting to look more like no solution at all -- not even a complicated...

Re: Quigley conversion and fuel tankage

Apparently these fuel tanks are not available for gas E-series vans. I talked to Aero and they said diesel only. I sent a couple of PM's to bahasportsmobile on this forum and have not received any...

Re: What kind of mounting strip is this?

Hmmm, where would I find that sort of thing? I've been checking out the attachments available, but I haven't seen those.[/quote]

I think I got some here:

Re: What kind of mounting strip is this?

There are some great attachments for L-Track, not just tie-down rings. You can quick-attach rattle free threaded studs for removable cabinetry, for example. Very flexible for wishy-washy types like...

Re: New Jersey Turnpike sighting

What day? I was on the turnpike in my black Quigley RB on around the 3rd or 4th, just after New Years. Lots of folks smile and thumbs-up the van. See my gallery I guess, can't post a photo from...

Re: Quigley conversion and fuel tankage

My tank does the same thing. I have a 30 gallon after axle tank and when it reads "E" I can only put in 23 gal so I have about 6-7 gal in extra fuel in the tank. It is kind of nice to think of it...

Re: Quigley conversion and fuel tankage

Will these 40 gallon tanks fit a 2013 RB Quigley with SMB North under floor storage? If so I'll order one and find someone local to install it (Virginia).

Stumbled on the link to the kit I ordered in an email. Apparently they are backordered, which is probably why I didn't see it on the site without the super secret link:

Re: Agonizing Wait Phase 3 Complete! The Finished Product.

I ordered my van with the black grill and was given the chrome one by mistake. SMB North sent me a black grill no charge, and it took just a few minutes to do the replacement.

Re: Wilson Electronics Cell Phone Booster Review...

Just looked at the Wilson site and it looks like they are not selling it as an "RV kit" anymore; apparently you just buy the car kit and the truck/RV antenna separately. But you might want to call...

Re: Wilson Electronics Cell Phone Booster Review...

I had the same concern -- I wasn't interested in one of those 'cradle' solutions or something where a single boosted phone has to be held within a foot or so of the interior antenna.

I have the...

Re: Is there a new top 10 list for my future SMB ?

Here is some of my hindsight perspective, FWIW. I took delivery of mine just under a year ago:

One thing I did not like about my 2013 Quigley conversion was that I had to get body work...
