Re: Sprinter at Fresno Mercedes with cracked block

Wow...yes correction on the year. It is a 2007.
Not being a mechanic it was hard to follow everything the dealer was explaining. However I did drop in unannounced several times and bypassed the...

Re: Sprinter at Fresno Mercedes with cracked block

I did get the dealer to give me $1,000 off the quote but we all know they will find a way to get that back. Kinda like remodeling your house. Get 3 quotes from 3 different contractors...add them all...

Re: Sprinter at Fresno Mercedes with cracked block

I had NO signs anything was wrong, no leaks, no low fluids, no warning lights. The dealer took pictures down the piston and you could clearly see problems with one of the pistons. I am kinda stuck...

Re: Fishing pole transport and storage?

This is my setup. A couple of small bungees hold them in place and the poles are always ready. Kind of a pricey custom setup but I love the convenience.

Re: house batter

I also am a total doofus and mechanically challenged but with help from a friend and a floor jack I was able to switch out 2 4D AGM without causing any permanent damage to my rig or myself. Those...

Re: Solar Blvd portable kits

Mike...unfortunately I do not have an exterior plug as shown in your photo. That would make my install a piece of cake. As Greg recommends, I will have to relocate my existing wires to make it easier...

Re: Solar Blvd portable kits

Alan at SMB got back to me with this response:
Those are just the female ends and most any automotive or RV supply will have the male counter parts. The answer is usually simpler than I make it. I...

Re: Solar Blvd portable kits

Thanks for the response. I guess my question at this point would be about the connections shown in the photo. Is there a "technical" name and size reference for these connections so I can be sure to...

Re: Solar Blvd portable kits

My Sprinter was prewired for solar with a Blue Sky controller. I have two AGM 4D batteries located under the van and they are not easily accessable. So how can I easily use one of there portable...

Re: PH top question...

Driving down the fwy at 65 mph with a 2.5" gap would probably not be a good idea. It is supposed to fit snug for a reason.

Re: Saw a new Nissan Van

Saw the Nissan conversion at the Pomona CA RV show yesterday. Got to admit it is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. What are they thinking? Seemed way smaller inside than either the Fords or...
