Re: propane tank diameter? gallons
Ahhhh, looks nice!
Maybe we don't have the same vans? I have an E350, and I'm pretty sure I've looked under the passenger side and there was even less space than the driver's side with the HVAC...

Re: propane tank diameter? gallons
Hey! Sounds like we have the same van setup.
How did your install of the tank go? Any pictures?
I'm thinking of getting the longer version you linked to above, but I'm hesitant to pull the...

Re: FNG tries again. Ford E350
I just put together a MASSIVE post on my build from start to finish. It's all the pictures from that shitty embedded picture software, all the YouTube videos, and actually a ton more never before...

Re: Biggest hassle when starting your first build
Awesome replies. I think most of us are cut from the same jib. That is, we like building and problem solving. A how-to guide for us would be severely deflating. I wonder how many people never attempt...

Biggest hassle when starting your first build
I was thinking the other day...everyone that is in here has obviously already built their first van or are in the stages of building their first van or are researching their first van.
I was...

Re: FNG tries again. Ford E350
Sorry for my long disappearance. I woke up one day and decided to go to Thailand on a 1-way ticket.
I finally put together a virtual tour of my van with some software I'm beta testing.
I'll...

Re: FNG tries again. Ford E350
More great news in the saga of my van...
It didn't have a jack when I bought it, and now it's sitting in my driveway with a flat tire.
Any suggestions on an emergency jack to buy and keep with...

Oh hello. I've been holding out on you guys.
My van is 90% done!
The inside is completely built out. I just need to get the ceiling vent, propane tank, and solar system installed.
Also,...

PROGRESS!!!
I finally told myself, "enough f*cking around!" and drove from CO to WI to build this thing with my dad.
The whole thing is insulated except the floor because we had to order 4...

Yo, kids
It's been a helluva almost 4 months since I bought the van. Too much drama for your momma for me to go into detail here, but I'm finally at a spot to start working on this project again....

Is that rear heat only, or rear heat/AC? If it is AC too, I would strongly urge you to keep an eye out in salvage yards for a wrecked van with the complete headliner still intact. I notice yours...

FNG tries again. Ford E350
Mods, if you find this thread redundant, feel free to merge it with the original. Just figured it wouldn't make sense to keep going with a GMC thread when I'm now building out a Ford.
So yup, it's...

Re: Another FNG - 2001 GMC Savana
So, back to this topic. I've gone away from the sound deadening material. The interior of the new van I bought this weekend (video tour uploading) has been completely lined with Line-X or Rhino...

No previous knowledge of maintenance records, but the last owner was an 80-something grandma that totally trashed the interior somehow. I can't imagine the engine is better...hence all...

Shot, as in, they didn't figure out if the engine misfire on cylinders 2 and 3 is due to a sticky rod or a false signal from the ECU. There's also a noticeable knock in the engine....that I didn't...

Update:
The shop took a look at all the codes and did some pretty in-depth diagnostics. The engine is shot.
I either get a new one for $2500 plus labor, or I cut my loss and buy something new....

I was just going to use the self-adhering stuff similar to dynamat. Then my subfloor....
