Two new Optima Yellow top starter batteries installed with an extended wire setup (which I need to crawl under and take a look at). Total cost: $900, with $550 for the batteries and $350 for labor.

How do you boil your batteries on shore power? I thought shore power recharged your house battery and the battery separator kept the house and starter batteries apart.

Until this electrical problem is fixed. The SMB has 26,000 miles (once around the Earth) on it's original batteries.

Yesterday at T-minus 6 days 12 hours and 30 minutes to the September 26th launch date for the second SMB Colorado Plateau mission of the year, the SMB experienced total starter battery failure....
