That is a very interesting article. My father has used that product before as he was an RC model airplane enthusiast. That might be a good base before foaming for R-value.

P.S. The van already has a thin coat which I assume was sprayed on at the factory to control noise and vibrations. The van is a 1990 Ford extended E250 and at 27 years old the foam is in great shape....
