JWA, you can probably see the one cig lighter in that pic.
What you can't see is the 2nd one mounted exactly like you mentioned. It is used more then the one in the pic and a highly recommended mod.

Here is where I mounted mine. Keeps all the wiring short and easy. Plus I didn't want to look through the gauge pod, wither it was on the A pillar or overhead.
