Don't worry you guys, it's not that addictive. A week or so under the trees, especially in the winter fog and drizzle, will give you such a case of claustrophobia that you'll be running for Nevada...

Another not-to-be-missed spot near the north end of your trip is Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. I think it's probably the most remote piece of vehicle accessible coast line in CA.
