Thanks for the responses fellers.

SMB is sending out some replacement buttons.
Apparently they come as too long in length and I will cut them down on the backside on install.
And its ok to caulk...

Oh, and to add. The thought of siliconing or gluing in these buttons?
Anyone had these buttons pop out?

Len, that coating is direct from SMB.

I'm not trying to gripe about it, only curious if others have had their buttons pop off.
The bite they get is minimal.
I will check with SMB to see if...

I have a 4 month old penthouse top.
The plastic buttons around the edge holding the top gasket are coming off.
They seem like worthless cheap buttons. Are they supposed to have any strength holding...
