Lacquer thinner - highly flammable and very toxic. Be sure to only use outside and wear nitril gloves. It is great for cleaning.

Dave,

Velcro sticks much better if you use alcohol (on the part not in a bottle) or my favorite if its the original paint laquer thinner...
