If/when I ever get into large bear territory I'll definately add bear spray to my gear list.

An AED is a great idea and I'll look into that Phillips unit. I've lost a couple loved ones and close friends to heart attacks and that seems like reasonable insurance policy for when I'm in remote...

They fit in the under-floor storage in the rear. These are adjustable height, and not necessarily 'large' in size. But they will give enough lift, using the wood block if necessary, to get the van...

I'm no roadside mechanic, but I do try and go prepared.

In no particular order:

Garmin C60 GPS with dash mount
Small roll-up solar panel for charging
Lots of AAA and AA batteries
2-4...
