On mine there is a nut on the outside and that screws down to make the seal on the tire, and there is a little rubber gasket or two involved. Field replacement is not a lot different from rubber...

I went with the all metal ones after being sick to death of the valves dry rotting. Even the partial metal sleeves I've had problems with. I've heard the full metal ones are bad if the installer...
