OK, I see now. The SiriusXM satellite coverage maps show curved blobs focusing on two points over the USA. The fringes of these blobs extend farther south in mainland Mexico than in Baja California...

Let me amend that. I just got back from a Baja trip, and this time my XM reception started degrading south of latitude 27 N, and was almost unusable by the time I got near Cabo (23 degrees N).

I have XM. It has similar problems with cut-outs in heavy trees or mountainous areas, but otherwise it's been great, all the way south to almost Mexico City.
