Correct. You can suck it out with a suction/tube through the fill hole but you won't get all the gunk down the bottom.

I called a guy who runs a driveshaft/diff shop.... He said for an older design like the Dana 60 to stick with a name brand 80w90 and 2 bottles of the Ford Motorsport limited slip additive. He also...

Thanks, I'd like to at least know what the right factory oil is, and also know what diff it is so I can maybe look at a Mag-Hytec cover etc.

I need to change my rear diff fluid, but want to make sure I use the right gear oil/additives.

How can I positively identify the axle? (Ford vs Dana xx vs Dana yy)

Mine does have a fill bolt...
