I can't imagine you ever needing 50 amp. Plus the cord would put your rig over gross :a1:

As CharlyB said... Pre made cable is MUCH cheaper than make-it-yourself. (For some reason)
West Marine sells 50ft. 30 Amp cables (part# 9329897), for (sometimes), as little as $49.99; but...
