JUST DO IT. Unless you live in the polar regions you will be able to start a 6.0. Put a 5w-40 synthetic in it.

You did not say how many miles were on the rig you were considering. Two questions to ask would be, did the PO ever flush or change the coolant and did he/she monitor vitals (primarily EOT and ECT...
