He will not be bending it more than a few degrees. Bend your aluminum sheet in your vice 5 -10 degrees and bend it back - then inspect it.

From someone who has "bent" a lot of sheet.

I would remove it and put it in the Press at the shop and push it back out. Short of that, you can remove it, put it on the lawn or an old piece of carpet and use a very big "Dead Blow" hammer - if...
