I partly agree with your sentiment. But, with the wheel hooks you can lift side to side. You can also use it as a com-a-long or use it on another vehicle if needed. With the Trailready(steel) bumper...

Where do you mount your Hi Lift Jack. I know i've seen a few of them mounted on the front bumper. The thing is...I have the Trailready front bumper on my SMB so it's a bit different....
