Nope. My friend took his wifes firebird (bought new - orginal owner) to trade in and dealer pulling a carfax report showing it had been in a wreck and front end replaced when it had never been...

I'd take the carfax reports with a grain of salt. Have heard stories of original owners trying to trade in a vehicle and finding outright lies on a carfax report.
