Re: 6.7L Cummins conversion project

Fair enough.

I'm obviously confused at a detail level between the different options being discussed by different members. And in all honesty it's not that important for me to understand the whys...

Re: 6.7L Cummins conversion project

I assume that is an expensive conversion. Does QuadVan have standard claims of advantages for the 6.7L and Allison? Do you suppose they market the conversion aggressively is it mostly for the few...

Re: 6.7L Cummins conversion project

Thanks for taking the time to explain this part of the project in general terms. By the way, I'm personally not looking at the 3.2L; just used that as example due to it being a Ford. I'd love to...

Re: 6.7L Cummins conversion project

I don't want to hijack your thread, but I'm curious about your opinion on controls complexity in general. If in the future some guy tries to put a 3.2 I5 diesel and 6-speed auto from the Transit...

Re: 6.7L Cummins conversion project

I was researching information on the 4.2 liter I6 engine and there is very little to find anywhere -- much less than 5.9L or 6.7L. I initially thought it would be an easier fit but couldn't...

Re: 6.7L Cummins conversion project

It definitely will be for me, and wish you much luck and success.

A while back I briefly looked at installing a much smaller Cummins inline six in my van but could find so little information on...
