If your frame negative connection is really good and you are not planning to draw from the house battery for heavy loads like a winch, you should be fine.

I ran my house battery positive cable...

The battery for that box is a Group 65, it was came in it from the factory. An AGM type (or at least maintenance free) battery is highly desirable for the frame mount location.

Couple of other things:

The battery bank is heavy and awkward to deal with. I do not have a transmission jack so I modified my floor jack by adding a pc of 3/4" ply to teh saddle and secured it...

Yes, I added some metal to spread the boxes out a bit:


The front angle piece would have been optimally welded in place to provide even more reinforcement but I do not have a welder...

Hi FF, Not sure how this will help but here goes:

I have a 2003 V10, it did NOT come with the aux battery on the frame. I did want a set of house batteries and spent a great deal of time...
