Funny, that same ranger must be up by Borrego Sprgs on 22; friends just phoned me and mentioned the ranger up there was admonishing folks about being on private...

That lat long in post #1 is wrong, unless you're camping in the mine.

Try 33.023260, -116.110886; I got that from what looks like the camp in the sat view on Google Maps.

I'm interested. Are people from Nor Cal gonna caravan down? That's at least a two-day run for me. So I'd be camping somewhere betwixt, maybe a couple of days and come in from the east.
