From what I can see the gocool is not a true swamp cooler, it has no air intake that I can see for evaporator pads. it circulates ice cold water in front of a fan through a water/air heat exchanger,...

Right now water usage for the swamp coolers is probably lower than in the summer months. I usually just run one of the fans and I notice that does reduce water consumption.

The small one can go about 3 hours before I have to add about 2 liters of water, the big one about 5 hours before I have to add another gallon. It varies but they rarely consume more than 2 gallons...
