These days there are many materials (and technologies) for 3D printing. In the old days (starting way back in the 80's), it was pretty much UV cure goo and 3D systems stereo lithography (SLA)...

A bit pricey for a one time thing....

Perhaps we could do a community group buy thing here and pass the tool around..the logistics would be tricky....or better yet MGmetalworks creates a bootleg...

You forgot "being able to plug in an OBDII scanner, jump on the computer for a code and order the part".....that's pretty handy as well.
