Further down on the same McMaster page in the link are spring loaded versions, they are a little more secure since you have to pull the pin to get them to disengage.

If you are talking about hinges to mount it to the door, I would consider lift off type hinges, that way you could remove it in seconds when required.

Reelchef: How wide is the T-molding that you ordered? If it's the typical 3/4" or 13/16" wide stuff, your 5/8" BB ply may be a little skinny.

Are you planning on using contact cement or PVA glue...
