A SMB is not a singularity like a bridge spanning a specific body of water. There isn’t a federal inspector looking each and every part of the vehicle. A boat or especially a plane is a different...

I don't know about 2001, but in 2005 a full floating Dynatrac axle cost 3,500 installed. The 2008 order form states 3,700.

Here is something I copied years ago from the owners group. The guys were asking questions on rear sag and handling problems. It might be a bit off topic but interesting. Sorry I don't have the link...

I don't worry about it and would be less concerned with the new vans. With my 06, the rear spring pack is not as beefed up like the newer rigs are but was more heavy duty than stock. I added air bags...
