Interesting Herb. If it works as good as it looks it would be a winner. Slightly high priced but has some nice features.

Great write ups. If I didn't hate even mild temp, I'd build me a few of them. I like the idea of something like this as more of a personal nighttime cooler. Something better than just a fan would be...

If I remember it can be used w/o ice but works better with it. A unit that uses dry ice would be different...

Unfortunately the plastic fan housing is also part of the vehicle Ford/Starcool system and I would not abandon that part of the system. If need be I would find a replacement even if it had to be...

I'll be watching as well. On the road I love the Starcool but if the shore power compressor ever fails, I plan on pulling it out.
