So it looks like there are several methods here, Bryanlaws says the bottle jack / jack stand combo will fit under the axle of a SMB with pretty much a dead flat tire, Jeffrey recommends a Highlift...

Good question, I have stock bumpers too, I didn't think the stock bumpers would handle the weight of The Van with a Hi Lift jack.

Herb, great picture, and I think I'll be carrying the whimpy bottle jack just to get The Van far enough off the ground to get the real jack underneath.

thanks for the tips everyone.

Maybe a silly question, this combo jack / jack stand is 21" tall, will it fit under an SMB axle when the tire if flat?
