Sounds like a great place to stash some cash. Find a tape (maybe an old white one - oh yeah), gut it, stash some cash in it, put it back together and toss it in the glove box. Who would ever steal...

I didn't think about trying to move it to the driver's side. The drawer would face the door unless it could be rotated around. It might hit the 4x4 shifter. Not sure where the trim pieces would line...

I moved the center shelf you made to the back to put the seat covers on and noticed the handle slot. Pulled it, then laughed once I saw the cassette holders... couldn't believe a 2001 still had...
