I'm under the same impression after a conversation I had with Aluminess before placing my order. The front bumper is good but a hitch is recommended for rear retrieval.

On the Reunel we just swung the tire to get to the hole for the spare winch.

When we ordered our Aluminess we were told to get a hitch for snatching and rear recovery. Front bumper is fine. I didn't dig any further but now I'm curious - thanks for that.

We had Reunels both...
