I hate to say it, but that doesn't sound sanitary. Or is the vent pipe well sealed, or can bugs, etc. get into the water tank?

Mine is a grey 1/4 turn valve located just above and to the right of the water tank. Your floorplan and valve location may vary.

If you are talking about the cabinet mounted on the smaller side door, it is an SMB optional item.

They may be able to retrofit to an existing van. Ask when you call them on Monday.
