I wouldn't worry about dually's touching. They are both going the same direction and speed, so no rubbing, no heat buildup, no worries.

On sand you can air way down. Maybe 20-25psi.

For reference,I air down to 40 off road on rocks that can attack sidewalls. The real question is can you air back up before you drive at speed on...
