You might take a look at my build thread I have added a 3" suspension and 2" body lift to my AWD Express. It now has 33.2" tires.

Good snow/ice tires have lots of siping that collect snow for better traction, snow grips to snow and ice better than any rubber or tire lug.

If you want AWD with traction control like a Subaru...
