IIRC, there's a small "notch" on the plastic panel that would be immediately to the righthand side of the passenger's right foot. I can't remember if you have to pull that plastic panel off or not.

FWIW, I've had my Ravelco installed for over three years without any problems whatsoever, but I can understand the Ford dealer's suspicion/concern.
