We are back in a SMB! (Barn Find)
We sold our SMB back in 2008 because times were tough and the SMB was a luxury. Between then and now we had a LandCruiser that we loved with a SoCal Teardrop Krawler 459. It was an awesome setup, but Yoshi always missed the SMB.
Eventually the LC and trailer would be sold to someone that made me an offer i couldn't resist. I held on to the money and looked at different vehicles, Tigers, Cab-over types, and even tested the XP Camper V2. We kept coming back to the SMB.
I had Alan and Lynn at Sportsmobile keep an eye out for me. My dream SMB was a 7.3, but i never thought i'd find one. Most were all high mileage and tired.
To my surprise, Lynn emailed me the day this one came up and we had to snatch it up. Even if we didn't want it or like something about it, it was the Holy grail of SMB's IMHO.
A 2003 EB (Custom Layout) 7.3 Quigley with 11,838 miles on it. That's not a typo! This was the ultimate find and 1 original owner that used to travel to Baja. I wanted a leafsprung/atlas SMB that was a RB, but when i found this motor and mileage, i couldn't pass it up. Shoot, it still smells new!!!!!!!!
Anyhow, here she is. It needs bumpers, winch and some other stuff that can easily be added, but for now im happy with a solid young platform.
