New bumper option - CBI

We just got our SMB back and made our first major trip with it after getting it back from CBI. I asked them to build front and rear bumpers as well as a set of sliders/steps. This is the second major project that they have done for me. They do great work and are great to work with. I'd highly recommend them.

I had Aluminess prototype bumpers on it from the previous owners. They were nice but I wanted something different.

It's got a M1200 up front and a VR12000 in back.

I will try to get some more detailed photos posted soon.

Front and rear winch, you're well covered! And always nice to see something different, looks good!

Nice looking. Did they also supply the rear box?

Nope, just don't want the deer or elk to suffer. I don't want to slow down either.

They did, the door serves as a table. And the box is removable to expose the frame for storing items that don't fit in the box. There is also a fold down table behind the spare tire and a highlift mounted behind it all.

Re: New bumper option - CBI

I'm getting lots of PMs regarding the old bumpers. They are prototype versions, no winch mounts, just storage boxes. These are simpler designers than the ones currently offered. They also need some refurbishing (paint & hardware). There are also no recovery points on them.

I left them with CBI, contact Nathan if you are interested 208-528-0664. They are equipped to ship them. I am not sure what he has done with them.

Lol, sorry, hard to tell son or daughter in the pic! It's a cool pic nonetheless.

sounds like a really cool setup. next time you have them exposed, can you take some pix of tables in position?

i like the extra bars underneith the bumpers. kinda like a ground effects kit, but solid, lol. if you can, please post a side view so we can see side steps and the forward part of the rear bumper. ive thought about doing what you had done with the space between the back bumper and rear wheel well, but your the first ive seen to have it executed. would love to see some more pix of the setup if you didnt mind

oh, and absolutely love the second photo with the orange cliffs!

and unrelated to your post.... but are those tires good year duratracks? if so, your thoughts about them?
