Mod My Traverse Updated led strip light!

I just bought my 2 nd class b after 15 years with my knight hill custom class b. I needed more sleeping space and newer.
After many years secretly lusting after westy's but not into constant vw repairs.
I had seen the Smb's but they are $$ and more than need in off road dept.
The traverse is between a west and and smb sort of.
I found out about the traverse and found a used one.
It's a 2002 100 km ish garage kept by previous owner and has instant hot water upgrade and core racing mag wheels.
So far I have list of mods that I want to do..
1)LED lights**

This is done
2) add USB ports
This is done

3) add digital furnace thermostat
4)reflectix solar window liners for hot days

5)k&n air filter
Done
6) grill bug screen and hood bug deflector
Done
I modded a 2003 grill screen I got for cheap and Ava bugflector ll 40% off on sale from lordco

7) led strip lights in closets with switches , under sink with micro switch, and along floor under counter
8)window screens for front windows and side door
Got some very nice skeeter Beeter screens

9) shelf in under sink

Re: My new (to me) Traverse

Looks nice! The Traverse model is a nice van. I seriously considered buying one a few times.

Have lights installed in the two storage closets now waiting for my switches to arrive so I can finish

IIRC, you can mount them with or without the square flange

Re: Mod My Traverse Updated led strip light!

I was thinking of wiring in USB outlets like that, but decided to go with the type that mount in a 12v cigarette lighter outlet. To me it seemed more versatile to wire a 12v outlet and use the removable dual-USB adapters. That way I had more flexibility and more 12v outlets at hand.

Something like this:

Something like this:
I was using those, but really not many things use those auto style plugs anymore...
I have usb powered micro fans and usb powered led lights called Goal zero luna lights from REI.
http://www.rei.com/product/827082/go...luna-led-light
They are flex neck led reading lights .
I needed more low voltage power for charging phones iPads and batteries etc. so these made more sense than auto style plugs. Just about every thing can be found in a usb version it seems. we do however have 12v hair dryer for my wife it of course uses auto plug.
