Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit

Just finished up a photo shoot for Aluminess on a Transit they just finished up. The van is owned by John at Quadvan and is heading back up to him shortly. Pics coming soon but I did snap one with the phone for posting here.

Umm, I think that's a Transit, not a Promaster...

Is that a 4x4 Transit, or is that just a standard Quadvan 4x4 sticker toward the back of the rig?

It is 4x4. The conversion went really fast. I stopped in once right when he got the van and checked it out, and a couple weeks later when I went to look at my axle, he had already sent off the completed van! John says full production starts soon, as soon as his 40' container of front end bits and pieces arrives from Ford of Europe. They will also offer a 2" lift option.

EcoBoost version comes next. That one is a diesel. They will primarily do those powertrains, and expect to do mostly Wagons since the dealers move those quickest.

Re: Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit

Aluminess stated this particular one is still 2wd and it was about to be converted but I did not look underneath to verify.....

Re: Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit

It is so f***** ugly. I just can't Tell. Disgusting!

Not John's work but the base. We have this Transit over here in Europe a Long time. All of those vans are quite ugly here. But the Transit has the top ranking. What a Bad decision of Ford USA!

Re: Aluminess-Quadvan-Transit

Seems that even with the optional 2" lift, there wont be a lot of room for meatier tires and ground clearance. What type of 4x4 usage is this conversion catering to?
