SMB West Fresno Pick-up Factory Shots

I went with my Mother (Edie) to pick up her new Sportsmobile from Fresno last week. Here are some shots I took at the factory on the day of our orientation (Feb 13)...

First some shots of the cut-aways they have on display...

Shots of various SMBs out on the floor...

Some detail shots...

Last, but not least... Edie's new baby!

(I also took some video that I'll put up on YouTube shortly...)

Thank's Edie's Son. You got some good video of our van also (the white van with nice yellow bib). We can say our van is on You-Tube !!

It is almost ready to head to Tx to be completed.

Hi Greg,

Which size wheels and tires did you guys end up deciding on? The rig looks great BTW.

Edie's Son, Thanks again for the video, real informative about the lockers explanation!

We went with Cooper Discoverer STT LT325/65R18 on black American Eagle 186's. These will allow us to run at a much lower tire pressure!

Talked to Jonathan today and he said he really liked the look too.

I think they also help keep the EB looking not so large.

SMB no longer on the rack

PS :: would it be bad if we meet the flatbed with a banner over the road as the SMB gets to Austin?

As a part of our recent orientation at SMB West (Feb 13), Jonathan gave us an excellent description of proper operation of the Atlas II transfer case using their cutaway demonstration case. I captured this on video and have just posted it on YouTube.

Youtube link:

Enjoy!

Re: SMB West Fresno Pick-up Factory Shots

It is my sad duty to inform everyone that Edie passed away this summer.

She had a really good run and over the past 6 years was able to take "Alice" for quite a few adventures into the beautiful American west together with her boyfriend who survives her.

SportsMobileForums was part of her daily routine and although she didn't post very often, she thoroughly enjoyed following everyone else's adventures expressed in the various threads here. Thank you to all here at SportsMobileForums!

Note that her avatar is a snippet from one of her own paintings. She was a notable and well loved artist - you can see much of her work here: edieroberson.com

I wasn't sure which forum to post this under, but I figured no-one would object to me resurrecting this one. (Lots of cool pics and vids.)

Cheers,
Jeff Roberson

Here she is with Alice out somewhere in the West Desert...

a thread was started in her memory here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14494

sorry for your loss. she sounded like a fun, free spirited person.
