Sighting Rudolph and Santa Claus

At the Valley of the Gods in Utah.

None of the Bluffs are named after gods...you can kinda see Santa in the one above.

Then went up the Moki Dugway on Hwy 261 north of Mexican Hat, UT. It ascends the dramatic bottom end of the Cedar Mesa 1500 ft or so.

Then out to a spectacular overlook:

Sighting Rudolph and Santa Claus

Did two of the trails from the Massey book. SE42 is the valley of the gods trail. Very easy. Also did SE45 the Snow flat Road trail. It was mostly easy-going but there was some spots especially towards the end near Comb Ridge Road where high clearance was needed.

Some very nice places to camp towards the end. A nice view off the snow flat into a little canyon.

Re: Sighting Rudolph and Santa Claus

Can I get an AMEN! for our National Parks and Monuments? Nothing else like them in the world!

Even the fire rings are better:

Look at that thing! Double walled, two levels, swing out grill...wow!

Re: Sighting Rudolph and Santa Claus

You definitely get an amen for all the cool places you post about, parks and monuments included. Thanks!
