More fires around lower Yosemite???

Damn, I didn't think there was much more to burn around lower Yosemite but it's burning again. I just did a run with CellularSteve just last Feb that can be seen at this trip report post and I sure hope it doesn't spread to where we were. There's not much left up there and where we camped is really close to the fire area.

It's a cryin shame.

Hopefully they will be able to get this one under control soon. So far it's not too big but was out of control last night and only 5% controlled this morning

At least the high humidity should help a little.

There must have been 20 Forest Service firefighters spending the night at the hotel I stayed at in Turlock. Guess they're not enjoying a free breakfast this orning.

Thanks Jack. I saw a map last night and was sad to see it heading toward Little Nellie Falls. Looks closer now. That is one beautiful area and had excaped the past fires. Foresta was once beautiful itself. Not any more.
