Starting a new thread for VivaLaVida's journey in Alaska. It's gonna be quite long, I've quite a few pictures... :-)

1. Verry first meet, about half a mail after crossing Alaskan border. I just stopped to eat something and this one came see what this large tan van was..! ;-)

5. Eagle City, a small and remote town allong the Yukon River. It's there that Amundsen sent a telegraph on December 6th, 1905 after more than 500 miles of dog sledding, announcing that he managed to sail for the first time through the Northwest Path.

I can't see that kind of terrain around here much so keep it coming. Drives me nuts with the van in the shop & being stuck at home but your pics are giving me a nice armchair journey.

as always, great pix claude! always enjoy a simulated photo trip with you and vivalavida!!

how long was the river the actual road? sooo cool...dunno why, but ive always wanted to drive a road that was in and out of the river like that. i guess im trying to simulate some of my favorite mt bike trails with the van, lol.

Thanks Shenrie. This one was really long, the longest I ever drove, probabliy almost half a mile! A bit uncomfortable since with the sun in front of me, I wasn't able to see the bottom. So I was driving like "in the dark" and some places where quite deep! It was the first time VivaLaVida's front bumper was wet!

Some battery cable issues caused by a Ford dealership Claude. Just need to order some new stuff and do an upgrade. It kinda shot my trip to Anza all to hell even though I would have been rolling in on the last day before the group left out. Itching to get back out on the trail This is my favorite time of the year locally
