Death Valley - May 2015 / Titus Canyon

Drove through Titus Canyon for the first time on this trip to Death Valley. It's a rough road, but we did get passed by a Nissan Versa while having lunch if that tells you anything. There was beautiful scenery and I was amazed at the amount of wildflowers still in bloom.

It's always amazing how beautiful the desert can be. Thanks for the pictures.

One of the best vehicle trails in DV. Wasn't it kind of warm down there Steve?

Depends on the conditions and your vehicle but I know people who have done it in a car. It can get slick when wet and sandy in other spots. That said I've seen 2wd vans travel on more difficult trails in DV. Having a compressor to air up after lowering the tire pressure would be worth having on board. The rangers will almost always tell you no, but you can drive up from where the trail exits and ask those who have come through what the condition are.

If you don't want to try it you can hike in from the end and you'll also be parked where you can hike into Fall Canyon nearby.
