Re: 2015 Baja 500 - June 6th
We finished 2nd physically but probably not on time.
We started 7th off the line and the car that started two positions in front of us spun out and hit a power pole and some spectators. They started us one every 30 seconds and our car started before word on the accident got to race control. They got the word right after we started and delayed the rest of the starts 55 minutes while they sorted out the mess.
Our car got caught up in three separate log jams were vehicles that started ahead of us plugged up the course and we lost a lot of time. The cars that started 55 minutes later had clear air and course - so an advantage that may have caught us on time. I haven't seen official results.
That's racing - we had a great time and put down some fast times so all is good.
