Broken Penthouse

I have a 1989 Ford with Penthouse. Today when lifting the Penthouse I noticed that a nut was missing from where the scissors lifts connect. I attempted to fix it but the bolt ended up falling out and disconnected the scissors lifts causing them to separate and the back passenger side to come undone from the roof. I have tried to remove the panel on the roof where the lifts are bolted in but cannot figure out how to get them out. I have a wrench on them and keep cranking but they just keep spinning. I managed to lower it for now while I wait and try to figure out how to fix the problem. Thanks

Re: Broken Penthouse

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do, but the bolts that hold the u bar wooden holder/slider thingies go through the roof, so you need someone on top and below to loosen those.

Re: Broken Penthouse

Thanks for the response. After looking at it more I discovered it isn't disconnect just a little bent. I am having some friends help me raise the penthouse so I can replace the bolt that holds the scissor lift. After that I may try to brace the ceiling panel that holds the u bar to give it a little more stability. Thanks!
