RSE Retractable Step Sliders

Here they are! Or at least some lame phone camera pictures--I'm working on a video.

They look and work great.

Some underside shots:

RSE uses a master switch in order to shut off the steps when off-roading--one doesn't want to hit a deployed step on an immovable object. I used an accessory relay to automatically shut them off when in 4wd. Steve says he can do the same if anyone else likes the idea.

As for fat guys--no prob. The steps are very rigid when deployed and have no trouble handling my weight. The sliders are very heavy and strong so they will certainly offer excellent protection for the van.

The only thing I had to relocate was the air chuck for the on-board air system. I wanted to find a better place for it anyway. I did, however, end up flipping the "propane" door to clear the sliders. Looks and works OK, but I'm working on something better than the magnet to hold it open.

If there is enough demand, Steve said he would make a run of non-step sliders for those more graceful than I.

Get 'em while they last!

Re: RSE Retractable Step Sliders

Here, finally, is the video for the step/sliders. Let's be honest here, these suckers look great on our rigs. They blend beautifully into the Bushwacker flares and just finish the side of the van.

A few more pictures to show the fully welded and finished ends and the space between the slider and the frame.

It's all mud, all the time around here right now. At least when the step folds down it's clean!

Tom-
They really look great. I'm anxious to get mine installed. Maybe when the mud goes away...

Very nice. If they were only wide enough for the dogs...

It's not a matter of age, it's a matter of hipness.
