I've got the Bargman rectangular style lights which I removed from my last van since they were more or less worthless up on the side of the pop top. They were way too high and dim after you raised the top, and also they were above my awning. It was a bad idea, so I removed them and decided to mount them on my current SMB on each side. They were still too dim so I tried the 2"x1.5" (I think) LED replacements from Amazon that come with a plug and multiple bases.

Well, I didn't look closely and they don't come with the 1157 type bases, so I attempted to butcher a couple of bulbs I already had. It was pretty easy to solder on to the filament connections.
Next, I used a little dab of clear epoxy on each side to stick the LED plate to the inside of the bulb cover (diffuser).
I didn't catch a pic of the taped, sort-of waterproofed end result before I put them back together, so we'll see if condensation kills them, but they are BRIGHT!!!
