Looks like big capacitors, did it have a BIG BASS sound system at one point? A lot of those guys install ultra-capacitors to provide high-current transients to their earthquake boxes.

I thought that right away, but it's romex coming out of it. Could it be caps to fire an AC compressor? A generator is usually an all-in-one package so I wouldn't think it was related to that.
Looks like a question for Scalf77!

Yes, looks like capacitors. Definitely not stereo related. Van had Onan, does still have Danhard/Starcool something or other.

Re: What's this?
Standard caps for AC startup. Probably part of the Onan.

That is pretty much what I was thinking, I expect the output of that may go to the AC compressor.

Yes, confirmed by SMB. My buddy emailed them the picture and in addition to confirming they are capacitors for the AC, they also said put the cover back on!!
Reminds me the old cardboard disposable cameras.. You could take them apart once the roll was complete and then have fun bar games shocking yourself and friends with the flash capacitor. Ahh, tequila.

I too once had "fun" with capacitors; sometimes on purpose, sometimes quite by accident---part of the joy working with electronics etc.
I'm betting a jolt from that pack would be a wallop---its designed to kick a 1 or 2 horsepower compressor into starting. Better to hit yourself of a friend with a Tazer I'm thinking?!?!

I'm gonna try not to find out! I guess I'll also keep an eye on rallypanam if I see him running around with a taser. Don't give him bad ideas LOL.
